Training Requirements for Newly Hired TSS
One who has been a TSS with PCS for less than 6 months.
All "NEW" TSS are required to have 39 hours of PCS training within their first 6 months of hire. These 39 hours include 4 mandatory, eight hour days (Monday-Thurs) of PCS orientation during their first week of employment and 1 mandatory, seven hour TSS review training day (to be scheduled in accordance with the current TSS training schedule) within their first 6 months of hire. Specific topics as mandated by the state must be covered in the 39 hours.
Training Requirements for Veteran TSS
One who has been a TSS with PCS for any period of time longer than 6 months.
All veteran TSS must receive at least 20 hours of PCS training per calendar year. These 20 hours must consist of PCS in-house trainings in accordance with the current PCS in-house training schedule.
