Master's Level Internship Opportunities
Pennsylvania Counseling Services offers internship/practicum experiences to students enrolled in a Master’s Degree human services program (such as psychology, social work, counseling). This is a part-time mental health outpatient internship. PCS requires that interns provide approximately 16 hours of on-site service to the clinic. Of the 16 hours, it is expected that 13 will be direct clinical care to publicly funded clients. PCS will provide weekly individual supervision throughout the internship experience. Internship/practicum experiences must cover a minimum of two consecutive school semesters. Please note: this is a non-paid internship. If an existing employee who has worked for PCS for six months wishes to complete an internship with PCS, that employee will be given preference for his/her internship (based upon internship availability as well approval from the school for that individual to pursue his/her internship at the individual’s place of employment).
