JobCare

JobCare is PCS’s Employee Assistance Program—a benefit that provides a confidential referral and counseling service to a company’s employees. It is an open channel for employees to request and receive help before a personal or professional problem becomes too overwhelming and complex. JobCare provides mental health services, especially at times when people are ill-equipped to know how or where to look for help. It can serve as an immediate resource for employees and their dependents to receive quality mental health care at no cost to them. Job Care is broad-based in approach and addresses the full spectrum of personal, family, mental health, and substance abuse issues.

JobCare provides a full assessment of the company’s needs in order to determine the best supportive mechanisms for the company’s employees. At the initial visit, a trained clinician will complete an assessment to determine the most appropriate form of treatment. Often, short-term, goal-directed treatment options will be offered. When appropriate, clients may be referred to other professionals or to community-based programs. PCS JobCare provides 24-hour emergency telephone coverage. A member of our clinical staff is available for crises that occur during “off” hours. This convenient service is designed to give full support to either supervisors or employees who are in need of emergency services. The goal is to restore the client to health and emotional stability.

JobCare is for employees who are struggling with personal, family, and/or work related issues. Employees may refer themselves or may be referred by their company. Companies may refer employees if concerns arise regarding decreased job performance, increased absenteeism, or other signs of difficulty. We offer a variety of program packages, any of which can be tailored to meet the company’s specifications. Early identification and resolution of personal problems can often avert greater health care costs, as well as enable employees to maintain productivity, benefiting both the employer and the employee.
