Drug & Alcohol Prevention & Treatment

The Renaissance Prevention Program was designed and implemented by Pennsylvania Counseling Services as a program run through the Renaissance Counseling Center, the Drug and Alcohol Abuse division of Lebanon PCS. Renaissance Prevention has been working cooperatively with the County of Lebanon and has been funded by the County since its beginning years. PCS and Lebanon County Drug & Alcohol work under a contract to handle the Prevention Services for all of Lebanon County.

Each person of the Prevention staff undergoes Drug and Alcohol training through various outlets and is titled as a “Prevention Specialist”. We primarily run reoccurring services such as Project Alert and Project Toward No Drug Abuse, but we also attend health fairs and host events such as Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU Day). Our Lending Library has many resources available to persons in the community. In addition, Prevention staff is involved in Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (CMCA), the Under 20 Festival, and Communities that Care.
