Lebanon County Drug and Alcohol Prevention

Renaissance Prevention Program

The Renaissance Prevention Program was designed and implemented by Pennsylvania Counseling Services as a program run through the Renaissance Counseling Center, the Drug and Alcohol Services division of  PCS Lebanon. Renaissance Prevention Program is contracted by Lebanon County Drug and Alcohol Program and works collaboratively in delivering drug & alcohol and tobacco prevention services.   This service has been provided by PCS since 1993.

Each person of the Prevention staff undergoes Drug and Alcohol training through various outlets and is titled as a “Prevention Specialist”. We primarily run evidenced based programs such as Project Alert,  Project Toward No Drug Abuse, and Keep a Clear Mind,  but we also attend health fairs and host events such as Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU Day). Our Lending Library has many resources available to persons in the community. In addition, Prevention staff are involved in Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (CMCA), an Under 20 Festival, and activities sponsored by Communities that Care.
